Jim Cork’s autobiography highlights his life from birth to the present day. Talking about the two families in his life reflects on some memories that caused joy and pain. We’re taken through a period where the only peace to be gained was to leave home. The development of his Mediumship on his return was already mapped out by Spirit. The group that Jim joined was to train him in allsorts of Spiritual phenomena that some could only dream of. One of the most difficult times was Jim developing and suffering from epilepsy. It’s explained step by step the impact this had, not only from a work point of view but also personal. The death of one of the most important person in Jim’s life, Tony Stapleton, was to turn his world up-side-down again. He was his Spiritual mentor and manager for 27 years. Jim’s life has been filled with up’s and down’s which are highlighted throughout. Spirit has never been far behind him as you will learn, and will there for all of us.
Review: I bought this book after having the wonderful opportunity of seeing Jim’s work in his capacity as a medium. He had in fact done a special service reading flowers, and one of the flowers he read, and with utmost accuracy, I might add, was my wife’s. I was thoroughly impressed. We had never met before, had never even spoken to each other until I approached him after the service to enquire about his book. Nor had we known or shared anything with anyone else at the service.
I was fascinated and wanted to learn more about him as the person behind the medium, and what better way than to read his autobiography? I was not disappointed.
Jim’s autobiography takes us through his childhood from birth to becoming an adopted child growing up in Lincolnshire, England 1950’s in conditions not too different from my own, so many of his early experiences resonated with me.
Even from being a child, Jim could sense spirit, but didn’t understand it until years later. He also talks about his affinity for healing from a very early age and his faith in the process.
Jim is a truly modest character with a beautiful personality, and I don’t want to give too much away, but his book opened my mind to the many facets of mediumship I was completely unaware of… I highly recommend this book to anyone who shares interest in these beliefs.
The reason I gave four stars rather than five is because there are a number of grammatical errors, and some word errors, and I have to be honest. However, I still found Jim’s story remarkably inspiring.
